church tech

This idea has been mine for a while if you want to use this idea please read my blog vision post first please. Thank you.

Objective:
To help churches with their computer/audio/visual needs.

Vision:
An all inclusive technical support service for churches at a very reasonable cost.

Church Tech would be:

  • A group of people who would be on call to help run the audio/visual programs in a pinch on Sundays as an on call type of person.
  • A number/email system that would help churches trouble shoot their technical needs.
  • A group of people who would help design the powerpoint presentations or visual presentations in whatever programs they are using to project them on their screens.
  • A company that would have extra parts that could be loaned out in a pinch.
  • This company could be huge but would have regional offices in each town to help support each community of churches with all of their techy needs.
  • A group of highly technical people that would consult churches in exactly what they need for their church and hook them up with a local company to install/sell them what they need/want.
  • A group of highly trained technical people that would teach the church volunteers and staff how to use the equipment that they have.
  • A group of people who would also help build and maintain a church website, as well as helping them by training volunteers how to update the site themselves.

Extras:
This could also branch off into something separate or be the same company but another thought would be missionaries. I would like to be able to do the same things for missionaries. If a missionary wants a website we would build it for them. If they don't have internet access we would update their site for them. If they do have internet access then we would train them to update the site itself. If they need a new digital camera or any other technical device we would help them find one at the cost that they can afford and send it to them. We would also be on call to help them with their technical needs. We could also help them devise some nifty e-newsletters and help keep them up on making the newsletters by sending them reminders. This could potentially help a missionary get funding as they could be raising money from their website as they are in the mission field giving them the time they need to do God's work.

Goal:
I know that most churches have volunteers that are very good at doing most of this. I am not wanting to replace them I am just wanting to help equip them to excel past what they already know. I want to help them serve God in a much bigger way.

blog vision

For some time I have had many ideas. They are all potential business ideas really. I have been told by many people not to post them publicly on my blog, however I think that starting today I will try to elaborate on some of my ideas and post them to the public. What does this mean Chris? Do you not want to make money on these ideas? Not at all I would love to make it big someday with one of my ideas and I am hoping that through this blog I can use my creative mind in thinking of ways to make life better in many ways to help feed the creative beast inside of me. As well people are free to use these ideas, I only hope that some day when one of them make it big that the person who took them from my site would seek me out and repay me for my vision appropriately. You may be thinking, why don't you just get a loan and go for one of these ideas yourself? Good question and the biggest answer to this would be that I don't have the money or the equity to do that. As well, I am to busy trying to keep a float with two kids and a wife, and a house in a stinky town called Chillicothe, at a stinky job that I can't get out of because of insurance that I just feel trapped, like there is no where to go from here. I am hoping that this will help me feel a bit more free. Feel free to email me gnuattitude@gmail.com if you have any further questions. I will link to this post from every one of my idea posts so that there is some type of disclaimer on them.

random 1

The last couple of weeks I have fallen in love with a show named random1. This show is about an organization called random1 that goes out and finds people who need help. These people could be a homeless person, a recovering alcoholic, someone who wants to help others and work for a non profit organization etc. This gets me to thinking. Wouldn't it be cool to have a couple of people who would go out and do this similar thing but help unite churchs to help the needy in their home town? Wouldn't it be cool to have someone who would spread the gospel in this way as well helping people unite with churchs instead of people just taking advantage of the church? How would this change peoples lives?
Personally I would see this as being like an intercity missionary. Helping people honestly and rightfully so. I think this would end up being the "dream job" for any person really.
