A Sad Day

Yesterday was the funeral of Officer Larry Cox. You could tell that there was an air of mourning about the day. People just seemed somber. For the most part it rained all day. The heavens opened up and poured out it's sorrow. As the sun went down there was a meraculas double rainbow. My picture here does not do it justice. God truely opened up the heavens and ended the day on such a beautiful note. It was so refreshing to see. I hope you enjoy the picture and please keep Officer Cox's family in your prayers.

I thought I would post this pic of David Crowder... I know there have been many days that I have felt this way.

My Dream

O, to be a musician. To focus on the stuff that matters to me. That is my dream. This weekend my wife asked me what my dream job would be. I said "to be a musician". (oddly enought my friend E asked me the same thing two days later). You know to do something in the music industry. To sit down and jam all day. To write new songs. To play with the tones that make your tummy twitch, your eyes water, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You know I hear about these people doing this stuff full time. And making a living at it. I am so envious.
This past week I discovered David Crowders new site called acollisioniscoming. On this page are three links that have rather intregued me. The first is hidden behind the picture of the squiggles? It is really four webcams from David Crowders new barn. Here you can watch the band record their new album. Then you find a link called Blog 1. This is the bands blog page (rather cool). Then you have Blog 2.. which happenes to be David Crowders blog (super cool).
O, to jam all day.

FYI I am in the process of creating a new song out of an old one. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. You all know this song. This has been my daughters favorite song for a long time now. So as I was reading through David Crowders book A Praise Habit it came to me. Why not rewrite the song using psalms and such. So I have the foundation laid down. Now to reseach and write some lyrics. I will have to find a way to record this and post it here online when I am done. My aim is to make this into a praise song that would be free for the use of anyone. I may even do it legally through creative commons.
Til then.. I will dream of being a professional musician.

new header

Working on a new header for the site. I figure since I have designed websites before and since I am still doing such for metropolis services, I should have something halfway unique on my site. Shouldn't I?

Dyson

Ok, the dyson story continues. We called dyson yesterday cause the sweeper we bought had a crushed hose and no floor tool. After talking for just a short while on the phone with them they told my wife that they would be sending a manual, a floor tool, and a new hose. FREE!!!! Does it get any better?
We got this thing at a huge discounted price cause it was a floor model and it was missing this stuff. We had to go through the trouble of waiting for this stuff but still dyson is going to send it to us for free. I think I love this sweeper

Update: We got the hose in the mail already. It is awesome! That sweeper sucks like no other.

Ok, just looking on Amazon this morning and found this. Can you believe you can buy one of these for 7 grand?

Can you believe I am excieted about sweeping the floors? What is going on here? Today my wife and I bought a sweeper. Yes, you heard me right, a sweeper. Kind of odd I know. But this sweeper will do everything you ever needed it to do. The thing is made right. I mean tonight I was sweepeing and started to run over the cord, well started to is the right word for it. Turns out the sweeper will push the cord yet suck up the dirt. And man does this thing suck!!! I am so excited I may sweep again just before I go to bed. If you haven't seen a dyson you must go to your local sears store or any other appliance store and get one today.

quick post

So it is almost midnight on a great day. April fools was pretty cool.
My friend from J.C. got a new blog today. Yes he finally came over to the blogger side. You can find him at worried man blues. It is now raining. I have finished downloading all of David Crowders "Sunsets & Sushi (Experiments in Spectral Deconstruction)" What an awesome album. I will post up the link to download it from itunes later.
I will actually get three days with my wife and my child this weekend. I am very happy about this. Monday April 4th I will get to go and see the "real ultrasound" where we will see all the fingers and the toes of our new child whom is due September first. Going to bed now. Everyone sleep well.
