Stem Cell Research

Ok, so I know there is much debate on this but I have to throw something out there. First of all I am not well versed in this nor have I tried to study it at all. But the other day I was listening to Focus on the Family on CDR radio and Dr. Dobson was talking about the subject. He brought up that recent studies show that adult stem cells have been proven to be flexible enough to do the same research on as the embryonic stem cells. Yet that is something you don't hear in the news very often. I will tell you this. If anyone has had a baby, and has gone in for that first ultrasound and seen that little baby moving inside mom's belly. Then you would never think about taking that life. Take some time to listen to his broadcasts on the subject. Please.

What the 12 apostles had to say about it: "There are two ways, one of life and one of death, but a great difference between the two ways. ... you shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill that which is born." - the Didache, a general teaching of the 12 apostles, written shortly before the Revelation of John.

This also appears in the seventh book of the Apostolic Constitutions under the title "Concerning the Christian Life, and the Eucharist, and the Initiation into Christ." In this one, the apostles went further to say "That There are Two Ways,-The One Natural, of Life, and the Other Introduced Afterwards, of Death; And that the Former is from God, and the Latter of Error, from the Snares of the Adversary."

The same wording also appears in the letter Barnabas wrote, except he says light and darkness.

In the grotesque and frightening Revelation of Peter, he goes on to say "And near that place I saw another strait place into which the gore and the filth of those who were being punished ran down and became there as it were a lake: and there sat women having the gore up to their necks, and over against them sat many children who were born to them out of due time, crying; and there came forth from them sparks of fire and smote the women in the eyes: and these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion."

I've never heard of the sources Jacob is siting. I still agree in his ultimate stance that abortion is murder, I just think it could of been more easily stated quoting a recognizable source. The Bible says don't murder and that's all anyone needs.
