The Tip

How many times do you go to a restaraunt and wish you didn't have to figure out a tip. I mean come on. People think that you have to tip 20%. But what if you didn't get a refill? What if your order was messed up? And if it was why would you short change the waiter/waitress... do you know it was their fault? This evening we had good service from a waitress. We try to tip good.. but what is good? Who wants to figure that crap out? I know that there are tip calculators out there. But do you really use them if they are standing there staring at you?

My suggestion is this. I would like to see restaraunts to put on their reciepts three suggested tip totals. These can be rated as Good/Fair/Aweful service. Or you could have fun with it. Like... Rounded(up to the nearest dollar)/Fair/No Tip.. or something fun. These would be suggested and would give you final total as well. I think if there were three suggested tips on a bill and people knew about them and why they were doing it then this wouldn't be a slap in the face. It is helping you get out of there with out a brain crap.
